There are several benefits to online giving for both you and First At Firewheel.

• Simplicity – You will not need to remember if you gave this month or send in your offering checks when you are out of town.

• Security – Online giving is more secure than giving with a check in that an electronic gift can’t be lost or stolen. For additional information on how First At Firewheel keeps your information and contributions secure click here.

• No Distractions – Instead of needing to worry about writing your contribution check during the service, you can be fully engaged with the worship service, knowing that you have already given your offering.

• Helping First At Firewheel – Online contributions require less processing from our administrative staff since the information is logged and deposited automatically.

• Convenient access to your contribution history – With online contributions you’ll be able to review your contribution history online for accuracy.

First At Firewheel uses an online database called Pushpay. This system allows us to provide access to your contribution records and allows you to make donations online. Pushpay provides all of the security for the system. First at Firewheel has taken all precautions to ensure your security. There are three aspects of security related to the system:

1. PCI DSS Compliance & Security As required by the PCI Security Council and all processing banks, Pushpay is fully PCI DSS Compliant (Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standards). This means Pushpay conforms to the highest set of security standards in the payment card industry. Your account managers, end users, and Pushpay employees will never have access to the type of sensitive information that might lead to an unauthorized transaction.

2. Intrusion Detection On top of PCI Compliance, Pushpay also maintains the prestigious certification of “McAfee Secure” noted by the seal on their page. Where PCI Compliance requires our system to be scanned for vulnerabilities quarterly, McAfee scans our system every day. In short, Pushpay has contracted an Independent Qualified Security Assessor, McAfee, Inc., to attempt to break in, every day. Not only does this allow Pushpay to adhere to the strictest security standards, it allows Pushpay to stay ahead of new hacker techniques and system vulnerabilities.

3. SLL Transaction Security Pushpay uses 256 Bit SSL technology for data transactions. All personal, credit card, & bank information is submitted using 128 bit encryption. There is no stronger form of protection than this encryption and by doing this, we eliminate the possibility that someone might “tap” the line and extract your personal data from it. 128-bit SSL encryption has never been broken and according to RSL Labs, it would take a “trillion-trillion years” to crack the code using today’s technology. Our Policies Your information is held securely by Pushpay. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, other than to process your scheduled contributions. You can schedule new contributions at any time and can modify or cancel those contributions at any time prior to the date they are scheduled. Once the contribution has been processed, however, it cannot be cancelled. If you have any problems or questions related to this, please contact us at lana@garlandfirst.org.
